The classic wheel thrown ceramic has a functional yet aesthetically pleasing form. The most prominent feature is the bold, abstract brushwork in a dark, contrasting colour influenced by Japanese Mingei tradition. The brushstrokes are dynamic and expressive, adding a calligraphic quality
